The year 2023 was marked by a mild autumn and winter, a rainy spring, and highly variable weather in the months leading up to the harvest. In particular, May and June were characterized by abundant rainfall. The constant shifts in weather and high humidity created ideal conditions across much of Italy for the spread of the main grapevine diseases (especially downy mildew) and for potential losses in productivity.
The estate’s highly favorable geographical position, together with careful agronomic management, proved essential in achieving grapes of impeccable quality. Ripening arrived later than in the previous season, making it possible to harvest only during the first week of September.

The 2024 vintage did not differ significantly from the previous one in terms of climatic instability. Winter temperatures were mild, above the seasonal average, which led to early budbreak. Plant development was then considerably slowed in the second half of April due to a sudden drop in temperatures. The spring months were fairly rainy, with May in particular experiencing frequent showers accompanied by a rapid rise in temperatures. The summer was very hot and dry up until the harvest period, which was marked by several rainy days that caused delays in picking fully ripe grapes, especially in the second half of August.
